Postcard ‘Send your worries off to the sea’

A nice, quiet postcard about the calming effect of the sea, with the words ‘Send your worries off to the sea, and fill your soul with the warmth of the sun’.

Of course there are people in all sorts and sizes, but when it comes to the sea, I think there are two kinds of people: the ones who think the sea is kind of nice and lovely, and secondly, the ones who are so amazed by the sea, that they feel like reborn after every visit. Yes, I belong to the second category.

The words on this postcard came to my mind after a trip to the coast. And a few years later, on a long, hot day at my office, I drew the waves, while my thoughts were wandering off to the sea. I turned it into this postcard, perfect for some daydreaming 🙂

This postcard is also available in Dutch! You can find it here.

I originally drew this illustration with India ink and liquid water colour and finished the design digitally. It’s printed on nice and firm Biotop paper (which is made of wood leftovers!). The size is 10,5 x 15 cm, just like a ‘normal’ postcard. On the back there’s room for a lovely message and the address of the receiver.
